And the beauty of such careers is that they align your passion with purpose. You can wake up every day knowing that your work is making a tangible difference, protecting our planet and creating a more sustainable future for all. And now all of you will be eager to know the way forward. That is what the path is to be a sustainability specialist. So the educational qualifications required for a sustainability specialist can vary depending on the specific field and level of expertise you are aiming for. Sustainability is a broad and multidisciplinary area covering various aspects such as environmental sustainability, social sustainability, and economic sustainability. Now, some general educational qualifications that are often considered relevant to begin with a bachelor's degree that is like the minimum requirement for entry-level position. Now pursuing a degree in environmental science, sustainability studies, environmental management, or a related field can provide a solid foundation. Then of course comes the master's degree, which can enhance your knowledge and skills in sustainability and provide opportunities for specialization. Programs such as Master of Science and Sustainability, Master of Environmental Management, or Master of Sustainability Development offer in-depth study and often include coursework in areas such as renewable energy, environmental policy, sustainable business practices and resource management. Then, if anybody wants to go further, then comes the doctoral degree. That is for advanced research positions or academic careers, a PhD or other doctoral level degree may be required. And these programs in sustainability, environmental science or related fields allow you to conduct extensive research and contribute to the field through publications and teaching. Then, of course, there can be you know specialized certifications because while not always required, earning certifications can actually demonstrate your expertise and commitment to sustainability. Now, certifications such as leadership in energy and environmental design, certified energy manager or sustainability professional can enhance your credentials and open doors to job opportunities. Now, talking about additional skills and knowledge, so we can say developing skills in areas of data analysis, project management, policy development, stakeholder engagement and systems, thinking can be valuable for a career in sustainability. Now, familiarity with relevant tools and software such as life cycle assessment, software, or geographical information system can also be beneficial. Now we come to the most important question that General Z has in mind, and that is what is the pay package. So now let's first talk about India. It can vary depending on several factors, including the level of experience, qualifications, industry, and location. Now it's important to note that sustainability is a relatively new field and the salary ranges are still evolving. However, I can still provide you with a general idea. Now to begin with, for entry-level positions, of course, minimum experience, salaries can range from 3 lakhs to 6 lakhs per annum. Then of course, they vary based on organization, sector, and city. Then comes mid-level positions that you have some experience, so you can actually begin from 6 lakhs to somewhere around 12 lakhs. Then of course, senior level positions where you have you know several years of experience and expertise, you that can range from 12 lakhs to 20 lakhs per annum. But then obviously, that also depends on organization sector and location. Now, if we talk about this sector or this uh career as globally, then let's talk about US first. Then there you can say the entry levels may be around $45,000 to $60,000 per year. Mid level can go from 60,000 to 90,000, and of course, senior level positions $90,000 annually or more. In general, if you talk about Europe, the entry level positions can be like 30 to 45,000 euro, middle level specialist somewhere around 45,000 to 70,000 euros per year, and then senior level positions can go from 70,000 euro or more annually. Now let's talk about Australia once again. Here, if we talk about entry-level positions, it can be 50,000 to 70,000 Australian dollars per year, mid-level starting from 70,000 to 1 lakh dollars per year, Australian dollars per year, and then senior level positions starting from 1 lakh Australian dollars. And that is how that is the general. But it is important to remember that these figures are approximate and can definitely vary based on individual circumstances, industry demand, and regional variations in the cost of living. So it's always recommended to research specific job opportunities, consider the local market conditions, take into account factors such as benefits, bonuses, and career growth potential when evaluating the overall compensation package. So, my dear listeners, if you're a student seeking your true passion, let the world of sustainability beckon you. Embrace your love for the environment, social responsibility, and economic well-being, and forge a path towards a fulfilling career that aligns with your values. And that's all for today's episode. I hope I've ignited a spark within you, inspiring you to explore the vast opportunities awaiting sustainability specialists. Remember, your passion can be the catalyst for positive change in the world.
