Now maybe not all of you are aware of it, but all those students who are aspiring to study in foreign universities must be aware of it. Now it is administered by the college board and it consists of two main sections evidence-based reading and writing and maths. Now this test is out of 1600 and with a separate score for each section, and it's taken by high school juniors and seniors, and scores are used by colleges and universities as a factor in their admission decisions. Now this year, there has been a huge change. College board has decided the SAT will be delivered digitally in all international test centers starting March 2023. So today I'm going to tell you seven steps that would help you create a template for helping you prepare for SAT. So please bring in your pen and paper and note down all the steps. Until then, I shall wait. I'm on a mission to coach and mentor 100,000 high school students and help them realize the dream of studying in the best universities of the world and build happy careers for themselves. And today I'm going to introduce you to a seven-steps template. I believe all of you are ready to note down the steps. So let's get started. And if you need to pause the podcast to note down, please do that. Now preparing for the SAT can seem like a daunting task, but with proper planning and consistent practice, it is possible to achieve a good score. And here are some steps you can take to prepare for the SAT. First, understand the test format. That is, you should familiarize yourself with the test format, timing, question types. And you can find detailed information on the College Board website. And additionally, College Board has tied up with Khan Academy, and that is like the official partner of College Board. And you can get a number of resources for your preparation for the SAT exam, and you can have even the practice tests. So comes step number two that is practice with official SAT materials. Now the College Board offers official SAT practice tests that you can download and take online or on paper, and these materials are the best representation of the actual test. And as I already said, Khan Academy also provides mock tests, etc. So you can very well prepare on that. Then the next step could be like you can take a prep course. Consider taking an SAT prep course either online or in person, and these courses can provide you with additional test-taking strategies and personalized feedback on your performance. So you can find certain institutes nearby your homes or online, and you can search for them on Google so that you can get hold of the correct one. Then you can use study guides and practice books, and many publishers like the Princeton, the Kaplan, like they make such books so you can get hold of them. And many resources, as already mentioned, are available on the College Board website and the Khan Academy. So these resources can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and provide you with practice questions. Then another good feature would be like for any exam, that create a study schedule, set a schedule and stick to it. This will help you stay on track and ensure that you are making progress towards your goals. Then focus on your weaknesses. Identify the areas where you need the most improvement and focus on studying on those areas. Then lastly, get enough rest and eat well before the exam. Make sure you are getting enough rest and eating well in the weeks leading up to the test. A healthy mind and body can help you perform your best on the test day. Now many would ask what should be the time duration or how much time is required to prepare for the test. So ideally, it is said that four to six months should be good enough, but then it depends on person to person. And remember, the SAT is just one part of your college application. So while a good score can help you stand out, it's not the only factor that college consider. So focus on doing your best and don't let the stressed stress you out too much. Now, let me tell you a bit more about digital SAT. Like I said, that from this year, March 2023, College Board has you know switched to digital. Now it's more secure and flexible. And the best part is that test takers will have more time on an average to answer questions because and additionally, time has been reduced to two hours instead of three. So, because the questions have been reduced, as in the like the traditional way, so a student gets more time to actually you know answer each question, but the total time of the test has been reduced, and students can take that test on a laptop or a tablet, and even if that is not available, the student can make a request at the time of registration and it will be provided at the test center. And this good news, like in the earlier in the math section, there was a section where calculators were not allowed, and in one calculators were allowed. In the new format, we have only one section where calculators will be allowed. And after registering for the test, the students will have to download the Blue Book app, and that is very very important because that will not only provide additional practice materials, practice test, other resources provided by College Board, but will also be used on the date of exam to appear for the exam. So I believe all this information that I have given will make sense to you and make your life easier and help you prepare for HCT.
